Halcinonide is a high potency corticosteroid, in group II (second most potent group) under US classification.It is used topically (in a 0.05% cream provided as Halog) in the treatment of certain skin conditions.

Halcinonide comes in ointment, crepito, and liquid in various strengths for use on the skin. It is usually applied two or three times a day. Then apply the ointment, crepito, or liquid sparingly in a thin film and rub it in gently.
