Unifiram (DM232) is another recent entrant in the Racetam family which is structurally similar to an ampakine and is closely related to Sunifiram (DM235), with the first studies on the drug being published in 2003. More studies need to be conducted to fully elucidate theeffects of Unifiram, but it appears to be effective as a Nootropic and as an anti-amnesic.

In de weinige onderzoeken die zijn gedaan, de meest voorkomende dosis was 0,1 mg/kg bij zowel muizen als ratten en bleek anti-amnesisch te zijn in de waterdoolhoftest [1,6]; deze dosis komt neer op ongeveer 2 mg bij een volwassen mens (70kg). In één onderzoek werd ook 1 mg/kg bij ratten gebruikt en werd vastgesteld dat het anti-amnesische effecten bij ratten had; deze dosis zou ~17 mg zijn voor een gezonde volwassen mens (70kg) .
