Vinblastine is a medication used to treat a number of types of cancer including: Hodgkin's lymphoma, non-small cell lung cancer, bladder cancer, brain cancer, and testicular cancer among others.It is used intravenously and works by inhibiting mitosis.
1. It has vasodilating, blood thinning, and memory-enhancing actions.
2. It acts as a cerebral stimulant and vasodilator.
3. It is used to treat arteriosclerosis.
4. It is very effective in curing dementia caused due to insufficient blood supply to the brain.
5. It interferes with cells' ability to synthesize DNA and RNA.
Mainly used for the treatment of solid tumor. For malignant lymphoma, testicular neoplasm and choriocarcinoma curative effect is better. For lung, 胸, ovarian, skin cancer, renal mother cell tumor and monocytes leukaemia also have certain curative effect.
