YK-11 je sintetika, steroidni selektivni modulator androgenih receptorjev (SARM). Je gensko selektiven delni agonist androgenega receptorja (AR) in ne povzroči fizične interakcije med NTD/AF1 in LBD/AF2 (znana kot N/C interakcija), ki je potreben za popolno transaktivacijo AR. Zdravilo ima anabolično aktivnost in vitro v mioblastih C2C12 in kaže večjo učinkovitost kot dihidrotestosteron (DHT) v zvezi s tem.
