Användande: Det är det 5 alfa – reduktashämmare som kan hämma testosteron att omvandlas till DHT. Används även för behandling av hyperplasi i prostata. Finasteride är en 4:a– aza-steroidförening som är en specifik hämmare av metabolismen av testosteron inom dihydrotestosteron blir starkare under celltyp II-enzymet 5a-reduktas. Den förstorade prostata som kallas benign prostatahyperplasi eller prostata beror på omvandlingen av testosteron till dihydrotestosteron.
Finasteride är ett populärt läkemedel mot androgen som tillverkas av Merck, oftast känd som antingen Proscar eller Propecia. Baserat på progesteronskelettet, Finasteride belongs to a class of medications known as 5alpha-reductase inhibitors and as such is used for the treatment revolving around type 2 5-AR based occurrences.

Topically (on the scalp itself) it is of some effect in minimizing further hair loss. In combination with Nizoral and spironolactone (which smells awful, by the way) it can actually reverse loss moderately.
For use in cycles with testosterone, I don't think it is bad at all. Man vill helt enkelt inte ha mindre DHT än normalt. När mängden testosteron i systemet ökar, mängden finasterid som behövs för att hålla nivåerna nere till normala ökningar. anser jag 5 mg/dag rimligt på gram per vecka nivå, och proportionellt mindre vid lägre doser av testosteron.
